Miniature Majolica ceramic plate with yellow grapes

This handmade, signed and hand painted ceramic oblong dish is decorated with a favorite Italian Majolica motif: yellow rooster. The painting is done in underglazed colors and after a first firing, a transparent glaze is applied, and the piece is fired again. The plate is almost paper thin and is 1 1/4 inch long and 1 inch wide.
I make all of my items from start to finish, using clay, underglaze paint, several glazes, China paint and fires them several times as required by the decoration and technique used.
