This handmade ceramic vase is decorated with the hair method. It is believed that a native American woman discovered this method of decoration when her hair was blown by the wind to a red-hot piece of pottery. The vase is hollow and 3/4 inch high and 5/8 inch wide.
I make all of my items from start to finish, using clay, underglaze paint, several glazes, China paint and fires them several times as required by the decoration and technique used.
