Later in life, Picasso devoted himself to ceramics and spent a lot of time in a studio in the south of France. Among the many items he made are a series of owls sculptures.
This sculpture represents a stylized owl in black and white. It is 1 1/4 inch high by 1 3/4 inch long.
I make all of my items from start to finish, using clay, underglaze paint, several glazes, China paint and fires them several times as required by the decoration and technique used.
